Thusa Yoo...
Thusa Yoo...! is our Poverty Alleviation Initiative recently renamed. Thusa Yoo..! in direct and literal translation means “Help that One”. We put it this way: Since you are there…There next to that One…Please lift that One up…Help that One out of that situation!
Thusa Yoo..! is a broad-based, versatile, structured and impact driven poverty alleviation initiative established to support the Needy – especially children and young people from resourced poor families of the age of 0 – 18 years.
The purpose of the programme is to ensure the most disadvantaged children and young people of between 0 – 18 years, receive support in the form of Food Vouchers or Food Hampers. Over the past five years, the organization has successfully delivered the service in partnership with the Department of Social Development (Gauteng Province). The programme also receives support in the form of a mix of different food items from organizations such as Joburg Market’s Food Bank, Shoprite and Woolworths Foods. The food items get re-packaged in convenient Food Hampers for our beneficiaries who are not or do not qualify for Food Vouchers.
I Can...
I Can..! is our learner coaching and mentoring programme named from our perspective on positive thinking. To the best of our experience, positive thinking and self-trust are key factors to one’s success. Possibly, an ordinary learner whose mind is being focused on the principles of positive thinking may say “If they made it, I can make it too”.
